Click for larger imageFruit Cocktail is a collection of 4 interwoven sketches, written by Charles M Reese and Footstool Players, in a 50-minute programme targeted at a Christian audience. The sketches, presented in a style of theatre best described as “dramatised storytelling”, bring together various key thoughts on the issue of fruitful Christian living, leaving the audience with a challenge to live a life that bears “fruit that will last” (John 15:16).

The sketches are:

THE STORY OF THE UN-FIGGY FIG TREE
Jesus uses a fruitless fig tree to draw the point that fruitfulness is a command, not an option. (Matt 21:18-19, 7:16-19)

THE STORY OF THE KIASU EMPLOYEE
Jesus’ parable of the talents reminds us that we are accountable to God for what he has invested in us, and that God will remove from us what we refuse to use for him fruitfully. (Matt 25:14-30)

THE STORY OF THE TAH-PAU LUNCH
This adaptation of the incident of the feeding of the five thousand encourages us that God can fruitfully use the little we think we have to offer. (Jn 6:1-13)

THE STORY OF THE CRACKED POT
A modern-day parable that encourages us that our redeeming God is able to fruitfully use even our 'defects' and 'failures' if we will surrender them to him. (2 Cor 4:7-12,16-18; 1 Cor 1:26-29; Rom 8:28; Gen 50:20)
